Rwanda\u2019s Development Bank of Rwanda has launched a major financing program that will provide more than RWF 1.4 billion in affordable loans to farmers, youth, women, refugees, and people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program was officially launched at Ishema SACCO in Nyamagabe District, where beneficiaries signed loan agreements aimed at expanding businesses and increasing agricultural productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cKataza\u201d loan package targets young entrepreneurs under 35 years old working in agriculture, livestock, tourism, and hospitality. Beneficiaries can access loans with interest rates below 9%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second package, \u201cIganze Muhinzi Mworozi,\u201d focuses on supporting farmers and livestock keepers with long-term financing at reduced interest rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nyamagabe farmer Mukayiranga Josiane said the loan already helped her grow her farming business significantly, increasing both production and employment opportunities in her community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Southern Province Executive Secretary Nshimiyimana V\u00e9daste encouraged beneficiaries to use the loans effectively to boost productivity and contribute to Rwanda\u2019s NST2 development goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
