President Museveni wore a white shirt, black trousers, black shoes, and his well-known khaki hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a 15-minute military parade, Uganda\u2019s national flag was lowered to signal the completion of the previous NRM term before Museveni officially began another five-year mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Museveni secured re-election in January with 71.6% of the vote and is expected to remain president until 2031.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, played a visible role during the ceremony, standing beside the president during military demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rwanda\u2019s delegation at the event was led by Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ugandan religious leaders offered special prayers for Janet Museveni during the inauguration ceremony of President Yoweri Museveni.
