The event coincided with the <strong>Giants of Africa Festival<\/strong>, celebrating sports as a unifying and transformative force across the African continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategically located near key venues like <strong>BK Arena<\/strong> and <strong>Amahoro National Stadium<\/strong>, <strong>Zaria<\/strong> is envisioned as a hub for both elite sports and inclusive community experiences. The multi-purpose development features world-class athletic facilities, luxury accommodations, green parks, and recreational courts \u2014 all aimed at promoting <strong>sports tourism<\/strong>, <strong>youth talent development<\/strong>, and <strong>community engagement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI may not have played sports professionally, but I\u2019ve always been a sportsman at heart,\u201d said President Kagame during his keynote speech. He emphasized the social and economic value of sports in shaping stronger families, communities, and national identities.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of Zaria Court is part of Rwanda\u2019s broader ambition to develop a <strong>dedicated sports city<\/strong> \u2014 an evolving initiative designed to elevate the country\u2019s status as a regional hub for sports excellence and investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s how the idea of building this sports city came up. And we are not stopping here. We keep growing. We keep going,\u201d Kagame added, signaling ongoing government support for sports infrastructure development.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>President Kagame also underscored the massive <strong>economic impact of sports across Africa<\/strong>, referencing data that shows the sector generates <strong>tens of billions of dollars<\/strong> annually.
