Out of 106,418 students registered for the national exams, 106,079 candidates sat, with a general pass rate of 89%. Boys outperformed girls, scoring a pass rate of 93.5% compared to 85.5% for girls.

The Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) described the results as encouraging, highlighting continued progress in both general education and vocational training.

Subject stream performance showed variations:

  • Sciences: 81.45% pass rate from 41,182 students
  • Humanities: 90.78% pass rate from 10,091 students
  • Languages: 86.1% pass rate from 10,410 students

The Ministry emphasized the importance of developing strategies to address the gender gap in performance.
