NCBA Bank Rwanda has announced the expansion of its services to Rubavu District, aligning with its mission to establish a strong nationwide presence and provide customer-centered financial solutions across the region.
Maurice Toroitich, Managing Director of NCBA Bank Rwanda, said:
“As a trusted regional bank, NCBA is committed to delivering exceptional services to clients in Rubavu and surrounding areas. We believe Rubavu’s rapidly growing economy offers immense opportunities. Our presence here is not just about providing banking services, but also building partnerships and helping our customers achieve their dreams in a sustainable way.”
Highlighting the significance of this milestone, Amb. Dr. Benjamin Rugangazi, Chairperson of the NCBA Bank Rwanda Board of Directors, stated:
“Opening this branch reflects our commitment to supporting Rwanda’s national vision of inclusive economic growth and expanding development across the country. We are dedicated to strengthening Rwanda’s financial sector and uplifting communities beyond Kigali.”
Why Rubavu?
Rubavu serves as a key hub for cross-border trade with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), home to one of Africa’s largest untapped markets. Traders on both sides of the border frequently rely on Rwandan banks for deposits and other financial transactions. The district’s economy thrives on imports and exports, tourism, and agriculture, making it a strategic location for NCBA’s customer-focused banking model.
During the launch, Rubavu’s Deputy Mayor in charge of Economic Development, Nzabonimpa Deogratius, welcomed NCBA Bank, saying:
“The arrival of NCBA Bank in Rubavu is timely and highly impactful. It boosts our district’s financial capacity, supports local trade, and creates new opportunities for our residents and business community to access reliable banking services.”
NCBA’s Vision for Growth
This expansion reinforces NCBA’s vision to build a robust and inclusive banking network in Rwanda, encouraging financial empowerment for all.
