President Paul Kagame, while speaking at the African Forum on Agriculture and Food Security in Dakar, Senegal, stressed the need for Africa to stop relying only on discussions and start implementing commitments.

Kagame emphasized that Africa has all it takes to become self-reliant without waiting for external solutions. He challenged leaders and citizens alike to ensure that what is agreed upon in conferences translates into tangible results.

“We must start putting into action what we say, so that we can measure results from our work,” Kagame said.

He reminded governments of their primary responsibility but also highlighted the role of every citizen, especially young people, in driving change through commitment and effort.
