An international conference taking place in Rabat, Morocco, has placed special focus on the role African countries play in promoting peace and security.

The meeting, organized by Morocco, France, and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, brought together officials from French-speaking nations to discuss peacekeeping challenges and cooperation.

Participants explored ways of improving joint efforts in areas affected by instability and violent conflict.

Rwanda continues to be recognized globally for its active participation in peacekeeping operations through the deployment of soldiers and police officers in UN missions and other international engagements.

The conference is also examining how African countries can take greater responsibility in addressing regional security issues and building long-term peace initiatives.
