More than 25 African heads of state and government officials have gathered in Nairobi for a major Africa-France summit focused on innovation and economic growth, according to Village Urugwiro.

The summit was co-organized by William Ruto and Emmanuel Macron as part of efforts to deepen cooperation between Africa and France.

Discussions are expected to center on innovation, investment, trade, and economic transformation aimed at creating stronger partnerships that benefit both Africa and France.

Paul Kagame is among the leaders attending the summit, while Rwanda’s Foreign Affairs Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe said Rwanda sees important opportunities in the conversations taking place.

The summit carries the theme “Innovation and Growth,” reflecting the focus on strengthening economic cooperation and promoting sustainable development across the African continent.
